Introductions

As this is a new blog some introductions are in order. Firstly who am I: The answer is a Canadian independent blogger, and that is not a contradiction in terms or as the Americans might say an Oxymoron. There are quite a few normal people here, we are not all loony lefties in the demented dominion. So Human Rights commissions not withstanding I intend in the coming months to keep readers informed of current Canadian and (while I'm at it) international issues from my perspective. 

Are you onboard? Good. While we're at it we may also stray into the murky areas of Economics and business from time to time and even inject a few light hearted comments now and again. Yes despite what you might have heard to the contrary the right has a sense of humour too, so liberal comments are welcome here too :-). About my name, well I actually do have a PhD and that is all I wlll say for now. Happy reading.
